Acupuncture and herbs have been used for millennia in the treatment of any and all health concerns. We are experiencing a renaissance of these time-tested methods now as we realize that modern medicine does not have all the answers and creates some new questions as well. It is fascinating to see all the different scientific studies seeking to validate and explain acupuncture. Be it placebo, neurology, fascia, immunology, stem cells - many cutting edge fields of medicine are discovering that ancient Chinese methods have profound relevance and efficacy. Both traditional and scientific knowledge belongs to all of humanity, and it is our birth right to use and combine them creatively in pursuit of the best possible treatment.

CHRISTIAN KONIETSCHKE
I am your local Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.Ac., R.TCMP). Growing up in Germany, herbs and natural remedies have always been a part of my life. My longing for a connection with nature has brought me to Canada, where I have spent many years living close to the Earth. My desire to share this passion, and to help others be well, led me to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at ITM in Toronto. In TCM I found a holistic approach to health that takes the whole person into consideration.

All of our habits, thoughts, emotions, diet, activities and relationships play a role in our wellness, and TCM gives us a framework to address many of these angles. True healing does not seek to cover up unwanted symptoms, but looks to correct the imbalances that are the root cause of ailments. In a patient-practitioner relationship, we can work together to restore balance and harmony.
